Welcome to the rhythmic world of Brian Dillon—a place where drumming is more than an art; it’s a way of connecting to the heartbeat of life itself. With over 20 years of experience as a professional drummer, teacher, and rhythm healer, Brian invites you to explore the transformative power of rhythm.
Brian’s journey with drumming began with a tiny drum set he received at age three, but his passion truly ignited at 13, marking the start of a lifelong exploration.
He is currently the drummer for Chala, Bonfire Dub, Chips & Hotdogs, and Trioso; and has played with a range of musicians in reggae, Latin jazz, rock, and world beat - collaborating with notable artists like David Hinds and Amlak Tafari of Steel Pulse, Andy Nevala, Jeff Jenkins, Jon Parker, Ben Levy, Stuart Davis, Wild Divine, and many more. Brian has studied with drummers like Michael Berry, Dave Weckl, Todd Reid, and Jeff Sipe. Whether practicing, performing, recording, touring or teaching, Brian’s approach emphasizes that rhythm is foundational to all aspects of existence—from the steady beat of the human heart to the cosmic cycles that shape the world.
Drumming has not only been Brian’s career but also a powerful tool for personal healing. After surviving a severe car accident and subsequent traumatic brain injuries, Brian turned to his drumming practice, meditation, interpersonal neurobiology studies, and nutrition as integral parts of his recovery. With patience and dedication, he used rhythm coordination and self-care to rebuild neural circuits and restore nervous system balance, guided by the principles of mindfulness, IPNB, and holistic wellness. Today, he shares this path with those seeking mental, emotional, and spiritual healing through rhythm.
